Pennsylvania lakes where you can't buy a lakefront home
On some big lakes, the land along the water belongs to a government agency, so homes sit back from the shore. We list a lake here only when a source says so plainly. A short list is a careful list, not a complete one.
Raystown Lake (Huntingdon County)
Wikipedia: much of the land around the lake is owned by the Army Corps of Engineers and is not available for residential development, so summer homes were built near the lake rather than on the waterfront.
Buying near one of these lakes? Read Utility and federal lakes, and ask what your deed actually includes.
